About me
Athena joined the team of International Accreditation Leaders with the NEASC Commission on International Education in 2018. Her work at NEASC focuses on supporting international schools through the ACE Learning pathways, developing protocols and processes, conducting training and workshops, and serving as a relationship manager, primarily for schools in Europe, South, and Central America. As the NEASC lead on small school accreditation, Athena has extensive experience and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities for small schools.
Athena moved into international school education in Europe in 1998 and held senior leadership positions at international schools between 2010 and 2018. Athena holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Toronto and a master’s degree in education in International Education Administration from Endicott College. Athena is a native of Toronto, Canada and is currently based in Gran Canaria, Spain.
