This session transforms abstract values into a student-driven graduation requirement. We share how Ridgefield High School operationalized its Core Values into a non-evaluative checklist of specific attributes and skills to guide authentic reflection rather than using a rigid, graded rubric. Participants will explore our delivery model, from structured advisory lessons to embedding value-aligned language across academic classrooms. Through interactive activities, participants will practice unpacking these frameworks. Two workshop pathways allow attendees to either brainstorm daily instructional materials that naturally generate portfolio-ready student artifacts or draft unique sets of skills to operationalize their own Core Values. We conclude by showing how our scaffolded Google Forms data collection balances longitudinal tracking with meaningful self-reflection for students.
