2026 NEASC Leadership Conference

Students and teachers need clear guidance on how and when to use AI in education. At the same time, the guidance must be flexible enough to meet the specific needs of academic departments and grade levels. In this session, we will share the process by which our district created AI guidance that aligns with our core values and responds to a broad range of viewpoints within our school community. The session will include a Socratic Seminar, which is a collaborative instructional practice in our district and one of our key methods for gathering input on AI. Participants will leave the session with practical strategies for creating district-level AI guidance in the form of infographics, websites, and classroom messaging.
